Automation Technician Wanted for Norway

We are now seeking a senior automation technician with extensive experience in industrial automation. You will become an important part of a technically strong team within an international corporation that delivers components to the automotive industry worldwide. Job Responsibilities: • Troubleshooting, improvement, and maintenance of automated production lines • PLC programming and adjustments • Working with both newer and older control systems • Robot programming and optimization • Maintenance and operation of CNC machines • Shift work and some weekend on-call duty as needed You will work closely with mechanics, technicians, and production teams and play a crucial role in ensuring stable operations and high availability. Technologies you will work with: PLC Control Systems: • Siemens TIA (newer cells) • Mitsubishi (older facilities) Robots: • Fanuc • ABB CNC Machines: • Okuma • Chiron • SW • Makino • Grob We are looking for someone who has: • At least 5 years of experience, preferably 10+ years, in automation • Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of control systems • Experience with robots and CNC machines • Ability to work shifts: 06:00–14:00 (day), 14:00–22:00 (evening, approximately every 4–5 weeks) • Willingness to participate in voluntary weekend on-call duty • Good teamwork skills and a commitment to long-term engagement • A valid driver's license (B) Working Hours and Conditions: • Shift work according to schedule • Opportunity for weekend on-call duty (compensation provided) • Permanent employment with our client after the initial period • WorkNorway will assist with housing during the start-up phase • Long-term establishment in Norway is the goal We offer a competitive salary, assistance with housing, and support during your establishment in Norway.
