You will be part of a larger project where you will drive and be responsible for issues related to electrical and automation solutions. The work includes PLC programming, commissioning, and system design, as well as requirement specification and support during the procurement of new equipment. The role requires you to see the bigger picture, take technical responsibility, and contribute your experience in an organization with many junior colleagues. The automation at our client is unique – it is not about mass production but about developing customized machines where each solution is new. This involves a significant element of problem-solving, creativity, and technical depth. Here, you will get to test, develop, and combine design with programming in an environment with high demands and great opportunities. At the same time, there is a clear focus on sustainability and future-proof solutions within the defense industry, making the role both technically challenging and meaningful. WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO: • Has a post-secondary education in electrical engineering, mechanics, or automation • Has at least 3-5 years of work experience as an Automation Technician or equivalent work • Has good insight into the industry and experience from project environments • Has worked with PLC programming, preferably in Siemens • Has experience with robotic solutions • Has an understanding of and experience in requirement specification within automation/electrical engineering • Has the ability to see the whole picture and act as a technical support pillar in the team • Can cover and support less experienced colleagues during a critical phase • Speaks and writes fluently in both Swedish and English, as both languages are used daily in the work It is advantageous if you also have expertise in: • Electrical design • System design • Commissioning • AutoCAD / SolidWorks • SVC (System Verification & Commissioning) You have likely worked both practically and theoretically with automation, programming, and industrial projects, and feel confident in contributing senior knowledge regarding technical decisions and requirement specifications. As a person, we see that you are structured, solution-oriented, curious, and creative – you enjoy testing new things. Furthermore, you can work independently when needed but also like to be a team player who readily acts as support and a sounding board for your team. ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT: This is a consulting assignment, which means you will be employed by Friday. The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where the client has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for specific citizenship.
