About the Position Automation Engineer in Life Science & Engineering – Stockholm/Uppsala We are seeking an Automation Engineer to expand our QVA (Qualification, Validation & Automation) project team. QVA consists of validation engineers, project managers, automation engineers, and qualification specialists who perform independent assignments as well as group Statement of Work (SOW) projects. About the Role We are looking for a driven and innovative Automation Engineer for consultant assignments with our prominent partners in Life Science and Engineering in the Stockholm and Uppsala regions. These assignments are crucial for ensuring the highest quality, efficiency, and traceability in production and research, ultimately contributing to groundbreaking advances in health and technology. A network of colleagues across the Mälaren region – from Södertälje to Uppsala. • Start: According to agreement • Scope: Full-time (100%) • Location: Stockholm/Uppsala (specific placement depends on the assignment) Application Deadline: November 30, 2025 Primary Responsibilities As an Automation Engineer, you will: • Design and implement automation solutions (e.g., PLC, SCADA, DCS) for processes in production, QA/QC, and R&D • Program, test, and commission control systems to optimize facility performance and reliability • Qualify and validate automation systems according to applicable regulations and standards (e.g., GxP, FDA, ISO) • Troubleshoot and optimize existing automation equipment to minimize downtime • Closely collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, maintenance, and operators, to ensure seamless integrations • Participate in projects aimed at introducing new technologies and digitalization initiatives Who You Are You are an analytical, meticulous, and solution-oriented individual driven by technical challenges and seeing your solutions implemented in practice. You are a team player who thrives in complex, regulated environments. You Have: • Academic degree (minimum BSc) in Automation, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical field • At least 3 years of industrial automation experience, preferably in Life Science, Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, or similar regulated industry • Documented experience with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) and SCADA/HMI systems • Knowledge of GxP requirements and validation processes (e.g., CSV – Computer System Validation) is highly meriting • Ability to take personal responsibility for your projects and drive them forward with high quality • Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written You are characterized by technical precision and a Growth Mindset.
