About this role

Do you want to work with a wonderful team that understands what assistance means? Our client is supported by a team of assistants who maintain an open environment and clear communication regarding assistance. Here, teamwork and mutual support are essential. We are looking for someone with experience in autism. The client requires assistance 24 hours a day and also has double assistance during part of the day, meaning that you will work in pairs as assistants. Our client attends day activities from Monday to Friday, and you will accompany her as an assistant. She enjoys swimming, so trips to the swimming pool take place twice a week. She likes going for walks, participating in gym sessions, and occasionally visiting the library. There is a cat in the home, so you must not be allergic to pets. You will be offered pleasant colleagues and an active client who truly appreciates her assistants. You will receive personalized introduction and training for all aspects of the client's support needs and routines. Role and Experience of the Assistant Are you a team player who sees opportunities rather than difficulties? We are looking for someone who can function well in a team but is also self-motivated. You need to be resilient, have a good understanding of what personal assistance at home entails, and be able to advocate on behalf of the client. It is important to motivate and engage the client while being responsive and working with empathy. Clear and direct communication is essential. As an assistant, you will follow the client throughout your shift but will also take responsibility for the day and be able to take initiative. Working independently and making decisions in an organized manner is necessary. You must be flexible regarding working hours, as the team collaborates to manage staffing when someone is sick or on vacation – we support our client and each other. Preferred Experiences • Experience in personal assistance. • Experience with autism. • Proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. • Knowledge of sign language and communication methods. • Experience with challenging behaviors. • Driver’s license is required. • Swimming skills are essential. • Must not be allergic to pets. Working Hours/Employment Level • Hourly – extra hours as needed to cover for regular assistants' sickness and vacation. • Start date according to agreement. • Working hours are scheduled for all hours of the day; double assistance is included. Regarding Salary • We apply salary levels according to Fremia. Collective agreement. • We offer wellness benefits.
