In the audiology services of Region Dalarna, we have Audiology Centers, Technical Audiology, and Educational Audiology. Our target group includes individuals with hearing impairments, deafness, and dual sensory loss. We operate Audiology Centers in Falun, Borlänge, and Mora. Most professional categories within Swedish audiology are represented here. We maintain close collaboration between different workplaces and professional categories, as well as with the Ear, Nose, and Throat clinic. You will work alongside colleagues with extensive experience as well as those who are newly qualified. There are excellent opportunities for professional development within the field. As a new employee, you will receive a tailored introduction plan and guidance. Each location also has a team leader who oversees daily operations and provides support and assistance to the audiology team. We hold workplace meetings every other week, and several times each term, all audiologists in the county meet. The themes of our meetings typically focus on workplace environment, professional development, and operational development. We place great importance on quality and use ear canal measurements and the SUS test as quality assurance methods. We are also part of the Hörselbrons quality register, where we have achieved high results for several years. A key success factor is our clear guidelines and routines that support our work processes and enable us to work as uniformly as possible. Audiologists for the Audiology Centers in Falun and Borlänge Job Responsibilities As an audiologist with us, you will work with rehabilitation and diagnostics, where the scope of tasks varies depending on your placement. You will be responsible for diagnostics, needs assessments, fitting, and prescribing hearing aids and other hearing technology aids. In Falun, audiograms, impedance measurements, and OAE measurements are also performed on behalf of ENT doctors. There is an opportunity to work with children and adolescents if you have an interest in that, as well as to work collaboratively with other professionals in the areas of tinnitus and severe hearing loss. We have close collaboration among different professional categories within audiology, and you will work with both experienced colleagues and newly qualified ones. We use Auditbase for inventory management and registration of hearing aids, and this fall we will transition to Cosmic as our medical record/information system. Travel within the county may be required. Placement is in Falun or Borlänge. Additional Information Qualifications Requirements: • Licensed audiologist Meritorious: • Experience working as an audiologist We are looking for a licensed audiologist with strong language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. Experience working as an audiologist is advantageous but not a requirement - we welcome applications from both newly qualified individuals and those with professional experience.
