About this role
Höglandssjukhuset Eksjö
Would you like to complete your residency (AT) at one of Sweden's best residency locations? At a hospital where you will have significant responsibility but also receive excellent support? Where you are part of the team and are missed when you are not there? Where you can make a difference? Then you should apply for your residency with us!
We are currently seeking a resident physician (AT-läkare) starting June 1, 2026.
We continue our efforts to be Sweden's best residency location in the coming years, and we want YOU to be a part of it. We constantly strive to maintain high quality in education and to create a welcoming atmosphere that fosters safety and development in the role of a physician.
In Eksjö, you will find one of Sweden's largest regional hospitals. Here, there is a good combination of highly specialized care and broad healthcare services, allowing you as a physician to gain extensive experience and a solid foundation.
Our hospital is in a phase of development where we are building and investing for the future. The hospital is just the right size, allowing you to recognize most of your colleagues, and they will recognize you! In recent years, large parts of the hospital have been renovated, and in the autumn of 2025, a brand new emergency department, urgent care, and other facilities will open.

We are now offering one (1) residency block starting June 1. The residency blocks last for 21 months. Your residency will begin with introductory days.
