We are looking for someone who wants to work with various types of administrative support within the MFA. As an assistant, you will play an important role in one of the MFA's units, providing administrative support and serving as a contact person for administrative matters with other units, departments, and foreign missions. Your responsibilities will include independent planning, ongoing administration, coordination and execution of various internal and external meetings, travel and visit planning, as well as maintaining and developing internal routines. Administrative support in case management, archiving, and release matters will also be part of your role, along with IT, budget, and accounting issues. The work demands a high degree of accuracy, even during periods of high work pace. You will have many parallel and varied tasks, and you are expected to take responsibility, drive, and follow up on internal processes, as well as develop and improve administrative routines when necessary. Read more about our operations at www.regeringen.se Your background You have a high school education and at least three years of work experience in service and operational support, administration, management, finance/accounting, or another relevant field. Academic qualifications are not required for these tasks. A driver's license for a manual transmission vehicle is required. You need to have good general IT skills and proficiency in the Office suite. You should be able to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English. It is desirable to have good knowledge of an additional world language such as French, Russian, Spanish, or German. Experience from the Government Offices or relevant experience from other governmental/public sectors is an advantage. Since your work involves many points of contact, it is important that you have excellent collaboration and communication skills, both written and verbal. Other information The position is a permanent employment with an initial six-month probationary period. Start date is August 17, 2026. The workplace is within the home organization in Stockholm, with the possibility to apply for overseas positions in the future. Several employees are planned to be hired. The position is classified in a security category, and a security clearance with a background check will be conducted before a hiring decision is made. You must be a Swedish citizen.
