JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Administrative Unit in Oxelösund is a small unit with diverse tasks in administrative and information management. We are now seeking a colleague who, with curiosity and commitment, wants to become part of our team.
Oxelösund Municipality is undergoing an exciting development process regarding e-archives, and in this work, you will play a key role in coordinating and driving the transition to e-archives. You will:
• Preserve, make accessible, and ensure electronic information is managed sustainably and legally
• Develop e-archives with colleagues from administration, IT, departments, and external suppliers
• Participate in shaping digital information management
Specific e-archive tasks include:
• Planning, coordinating, and implementing information transfers to e-archives
• Developing strategies, guidelines, and routines for e-archiving
• Quality assuring metadata, formats, and information packages
• Collaborating with system administrators, suppliers, and partners
You may also participate in other information management projects. As an archive administrator, you'll work with a colleague to provide advice and support in archival areas, including searching for documents, cataloging archive materials, conducting oversight, and working on document management plans and disposal decisions.
Additional tasks include participating in administrative and administrative-related work, such as registering incoming and outgoing municipal documents. Daily work involves contact with politicians, municipal staff, media, and the public.
QUALIFICATIONS
We're looking for candidates with:
• Higher education in archival science, information science, or equivalent
• Good knowledge of archival legislation
• Understanding of technical systems and digital information flows
Preferred experience:
• Working in politically governed organizations
• System management
• Project management
• Reviewing public documents
Highly desirable experience with:
• E-archive work
• E-archive transfers
• Developing information and document management plans
Personal qualities:
• Strong interest in archival issues
• Good pedagogical skills
• Ability to work independently and in groups
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Driven and initiative-taking
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
