**About the Job**
The Social Administration of Nordost is now seeking an Archivist.
As an Archivist, you will be part of the Secretariat Unit, which is a part of the Department of Digitalization, Communication, and Administration. The Secretariat is responsible for coordinating and developing work related to committees, boards, records management, archives, and legal matters.
In your role as Archivist, you will lead and develop the operations of the administration's intermediate archives. Your tasks will include ongoing archiving of completed personal files and registered cases. Upon request from various departments, you will conduct archive searches and provide personal files and other archived documents.
The work is carried out in close collaboration with the administration's Development Leader for Document Management, and together with them, you will contribute to developing the administration's routines within the archive field. You will also be part of a network of archivists within the city's social administrations and collaborate with them on common issues.
An important task will be to oversee the annual submissions of social services personal files to the Regional Archive. In the process of archiving personal files, you will coordinate and supervise staff working alongside you.
You will be based at Förstamajgatan, but you will also work in the other archive facilities of the Social Administration of Nordost.
Your responsibilities will also include providing support to other functions within the Secretariat Unit as needed.
**Qualifications**
For this position, it is essential that you are responsible, as you will have overall accountability for the operational work in the administration's intermediate archives. You should also possess the ability to organize and plan your work in a structured and efficient manner. A keen interest in practical archival work is necessary, along with the capacity to switch between strategic and operational tasks.
To apply for the position, you must have:
- A relevant higher education degree with at least 60 credits in archive studies or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Strong communicative skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in IT.
In addition to the above requirements, it is also advantageous if you have:
- Experience working as an archivist within the public sector.
- Experience working as a coordinator/supervisor.
We are looking for someone who is proactive, curious, works efficiently, and shows good initiative. You should be capable of working independently as well as part of a team. Since the position involves handling confidential information, you need to feel comfortable managing these documents professionally. Heavy lifting may occur, as part of the work is physically demanding.
