The position of archivist is located within the Archive and Registry function of the Legal Unit, which is organizationally placed in the Department for Operational Support. Currently, the function consists of four case officers and one archive assistant. The Archive and Registry function has overall responsibility for the case management, archive formation, and archive maintenance of the County Administrative Board of Kalmar County. The Archive and Registry function must ensure that the authority meets the requirement for a well-functioning, service-oriented, and legally secure case and document management. **Responsibilities** As an archivist, your tasks will include organizing and cataloging archives, developing governing documents such as archive descriptions, planning and executing deliveries, conducting retention investigations, implementing retention, drafting retention proposals and application decisions, and providing advice to the organization regarding archive and information management. You are expected to independently handle the release of public documents, including confidentiality assessments, participate in the work with security-protected classified information and information security/information classification, and otherwise work with common tasks within the archive field. You are also expected to actively participate in our ongoing efforts to develop our operations. You will be expected to train other employees in the authority on archive issues. Other tasks included in the position are to register the authority's incoming and created documents; other administrative tasks may also occur. The County Administrative Boards use Platina from Formpipe as a tool for registry management. We collaborate on all tasks within the unit, and the authority's assignments may also lead to additional tasks beyond those described in the advertisement. **Qualifications** Higher education with at least 60 credits in archival science (or education/competence that the employer assesses as equivalent). Very good computer skills. Excellent proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. It is advantageous if you have: - Current experience working as an archivist at a County Administrative Board or within another public administration. - Experience working with retention regulations, document plans, organization, and cataloging work. - Experience independently handling the release of public documents, including confidentiality assessments. - Experience working with security-protected classified information and information security/information classification within public operations. - Experience in registry management within public administration. **Personal Attributes** Understanding of the principle of public access, the role of a civil servant, and the public value base is fundamental. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. **Conditions** The County Administrative Board is a total defense authority. Security clearance with a background check will be conducted according to the Security Protection Act before a hiring decision is made. Swedish citizenship is required for the position.
