What Does the Role Offer?
As an Arena Coordinator, you will work closely with salespeople, project managers, and event technicians to coordinate guests' visits within Meetings, Entertainment, and Sports. You will be based in guest services, which is centrally located in the arena.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Hosting and guest service where you meet and assist visitors before and during conferences and events.
• Responding to incoming calls and emails regarding bookings and booking inquiries.
• Coordinating and following up on bookings before, during, and after events.
• Setting up and dismantling events, regardless of size, together with the rest of the team.
• Quality assuring our facilities before and during bookings.
• Contributing to our inviting and welcoming atmosphere in the arena's indoor environment.
You will be based at our facilities at Arena Varberg, working full-time with flexible hours according to a schedule that covers all days of the week. Evening and weekend work may occur. This position is perfect for you if you thrive in a dynamic environment with a lot of customer contact filled with meetings, corporate events, concerts, and sports.
The position is a longer-term temporary role for approximately 1.5 years with good opportunities for extension.
Who Are You?
To be the candidate we are looking for, we believe you are passionate about providing excellent service and have several years of experience in meetings, coordination, service, and/or events. Furthermore, we would like you to:
• Speak and write Swedish fluently with good knowledge of English.
• Hold a valid driver's license (B).
• Have good computer and system skills.
Experience in event technology such as audiovisual equipment, sound, and lighting, along with post-secondary studies in events, is considered an asset but is not a requirement.
We also believe you are a positive and social person who is accustomed to meeting different types of people, with a natural hosting ability regardless of whom you encounter. You are focused on putting the customer first and creating a great guest experience throughout the customer journey. You have the ability to work systematically, are detail-oriented, work selflessly, and enjoy collaborating closely with your colleagues.
