About this role
Are you a licensed occupational therapist interested in a job with well-functioning teamwork and opportunities for professional growth? Then this might be the position for you! We are currently seeking two occupational therapists: one for our team of licensed healthcare professionals serving citizens in the Torvalla home care area and special housing facilities in Torvalla/Odensala, and another for our licensed team serving Brunflo home care areas and special housing facilities in Brunflo and Fåker. Working hours are during the day, weekdays.
Good opportunities for collegial support exist both in the workplace and during professional meetings with other occupational therapists within our municipal home healthcare service. The purpose of these meetings is both skills development and experience sharing, and they are usually highly appreciated.
Your New Job
As an occupational therapist, you will plan, lead, and perform rehabilitation work. You will assess needs and create conditions for individuals to live as meaningful a life as possible by implementing necessary interventions. The job includes prescribing assistive devices and providing guidance to staff and relatives. You will work closely with physiotherapists and district nurses, as well as collaborate with other licensed personnel and basic staff in the home care groups and special housing facilities we serve.
Torvalla Position
The Torvalla team currently includes two occupational therapists, three physiotherapists, and three district nurses. Everyone in the team works from the shared office on Nävervägen in central Torvalla, with good bus connections. It is a very pleasant work group, and we have lunch together every day. You will have the opportunity to have your own room and will be close to the unit manager, who also has an office in the location. The Torvalla home care group is located one floor down, which is convenient for delegating and following up on delegated tasks.
Brunflo Position
The Brunflo team works from the office on Liljevägen 8 and currently consists of three occupational therapists, three physiotherapists, and four district/registered nurses. The workplace is located in central Brunflo near well-served public transportation to and from Östersund. You will work closely with other occupational therapists and licensed personnel, as they share the office. Home care groups for central Brunflo and Brunflo Villages are located in the same building, providing opportunities for good collaboration with home care staff.
