About this role
Do you want to be part of developing the future of psychiatric care in Värmland? With us, you will play an important role in an engaged team where your skills as an occupational therapist make a difference every day.
Your workplace
Adult psychiatry is an area of operation that encompasses specialized psychiatry within both outpatient and inpatient care for the entire Värmland region. We offer a wide range of services from diagnostics to treatment, while continuously striving to improve, build relationships, and develop collaborations.
We have outpatient clinics in Karlstad, Torsby, Hagfors, Arvika, Kristinehamn, and Säffle. In Karlstad, there are also several subspecialized outpatient clinics. The psychiatric inpatient care is located in Karlstad, featuring a psychiatric emergency department, five care wards, and a dependency ward in collaboration with the municipalities in the region. The area of operation consists of approximately 460 employees.
As an occupational therapist, you will be part of our resource department, where we gather care administrators, occupational therapists, social workers, instructors, and employees with personal experience. The department serves as support for all departments within the organization. We are a service-oriented knowledge organization characterized by competent employees, high-quality care, a willingness to develop, engagement, responsibility, and participation.
Occupational therapists, along with other staff members, are vital to the entire organization in achieving our development work, which is based on safe and meaningful round-the-clock psychiatric care and person-centered nursing with a focus on professional interaction.
As an employer, we believe it is important to provide you with opportunities to develop and thrive with us, which is why we offer a tailored introduction and relevant professional development for the position. In addition to playing a significant role in the patient's care journey, we provide a health-promoting workplace that values a good working environment. As an employee within Region Värmland, you have access to wellness hours, flexible working hours, wellness grants, and access to gyms in the region's facilities.
