About this role

Stockholm - our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone living here today and in the future. Now we're looking for you who want to think big, new, and different with us - for the people of Stockholm. Hässelby-Vällingby District Administration is located in western Stockholm, close to scenic areas and with good communications. We are approximately 1,700 proud and committed employees who contribute high-quality service to the district's residents every day. Our work environment is characterized by collaboration, courage, and participation. Our strength is that the diversity found among residents is also present among our employees. Together, we make a difference! Workplace Description Koppargården Care and Nursing Home is a modern and homely residence located near beautiful green areas. The facility consists of six floors. Each floor is divided into three groups, with 9, 12, or 8 apartments. We offer permanent and short-term/respite care. We have residents with somatic care needs, geriatric psychiatric care, and those with dementia. Koppargården works towards a salutogenic elder care approach that focuses on what is meaningful for the resident from a health perspective. Our ambition is for our operations to become a role model for salutogenic elder care, where activities are seen as a natural part of care work. All employees at Koppargården are working towards our goal - to be an attractive nursing home with high quality! If you are ambitious and want to drive our development forward, you will thrive with us! Job Description Elder care in Hässelby-Vällingby is undergoing a transformation. The focus in the coming years will be on developing quality in care and nursing homes. We are seeking someone who enjoys taking significant personal responsibility and has a genuine interest and commitment to elder care. As an occupational therapist at Koppargården, you will have an independent work role but also close collaboration with the Rehab Team. At Koppargården, 3 occupational therapists and 3 physiotherapists work together. We also work in teams with nurses and care staff. Your tasks as an occupational therapist include responsibility for planning, implementing, and documenting rehabilitation interventions based on each resident's needs. Conducting ADL assessments. Evaluating changes in residents' health conditions and taking appropriate actions. Selecting and fitting assistive devices. Establishing and following up rehabilitation plans for residents after assessment. Training and guiding staff in transfer techniques and ergonomics will be an important part of the role, which may also occur in residents' home environments. We welcome candidates with a pedagogical approach who enjoy instructing and teaching, with good knowledge and/or interest in load ergonomics and work environment. Doctors visit us at predetermined times. Qualifications We are seeking a licensed occupational therapist interested in working in elder care and guiding staff. You are solution-oriented, attentive, and have excellent collaboration and communication skills. Furthermore, you are responsible and can work independently in all aspects of the job and make independent assessments. We place great importance on personal suitability. Work Experience Requirements: Licensed occupational therapist, preferably with experience in elder care or geriatrics. Those with less experience are also very welcome to apply, with good opportunities for guidance from experienced colleagues. Stockholm City works with competence-based recruitment aimed at assessing each person's skills and thereby counteracting discrimination.
