About this role
Make a Difference. Every Day.
Welcome to the Habilitation Clinic for Children and Youth in Landskrona!
With us, you'll have the opportunity to work in a stimulating workplace with high competence and a supportive collaborative environment. We work in fresh and functional premises with excellent commuting options.
We serve children and youth aged zero to seventeen with long-term disabilities and their families. The children and youth may have mobility impairments, autism spectrum conditions, and/or intellectual disabilities. Our operation is built on a cross-professional, child and family-centered approach, which means the family is involved in planning, implementation, and evaluation of interventions.
Our approach is person-centered and based on the fundamental values of equal human dignity, each person's inherent strength, everyone's right to integrity and self-determination, and every child's right to express their opinion.
WORK TASKS
We now welcome an occupational therapist to our team!
As an occupational therapist, your role involves increasing the ability to participate by analyzing and providing advice and support regarding daily activities based on individual needs. A significant part of the work involves guiding children/youth and their networks to create change in the child's/youth's everyday life. You will provide individual interventions as needed and according to plans developed in consultation with the family, child/youth, and the habilitation team. Assessing needs, prescribing and fitting technical aids and participating in housing adaptations are also key responsibilities. The work is outward-facing and involves collaboration with other activities such as preschool/school, aid services, social services, and others. In addition to direct patient work, administrative tasks like patient booking and journal management are included. You will also structure and organize work independently and together with the team.
We offer a secure introduction for all new employees, including diagnosis training, mentorship, and observation with colleagues.
Work hours are weekdays from 08:00-16:30, with evening shifts until 18:30 on Mondays and 14:30 on Fridays.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking a licensed occupational therapist authorized to practice in Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills at least equivalent to C1 level on the Council of Europe scale are required. A valid B driver's license is also mandatory. We prefer candidates experienced with various IT systems and digital healthcare contacts. Previous experience in habilitation work, working with children and youth with diverse needs, or experience working with individuals with special conditions is meritorious. You should have a strong interest in working with our entire target group.
We seek someone positive who sees opportunities rather than obstacles. You should have good collaboration skills, ability to work independently, and appreciate digital contacts. We value curiosity and a patient-focused approach that promotes participation. Given the numerous contact points and collaborations with different people, it's crucial that you are clear, communicative, and able to listen and observe others' communication. You must be able to plan and prioritize tasks and maintain a flexible approach within our mission. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
A background check will be conducted before potential employment.
