**Responsibilities**
In your role as an occupational therapist at Habiliteringen in Köping, you will be one of five occupational therapists in our two teams. You will also collaborate closely with other professionals within the teams, which include physiotherapists, speech therapists, social workers, special educators, psychologists, and dietitians. Interventions are provided both individually and in groups, where we see the combined professional competence around the patient as the strength for the best possible treatment.
Your work within our teams includes providing interventions for our patients with the goal of facilitating their living conditions. As an occupational therapist, you assist the patient by adapting daily situations based on various disabilities and individual needs. You propose strategies that prevent, improve, and compensate for reduced activity ability, or enhance independence in daily life. You will also work on mapping and interventions related to mobility, sitting, and sleep. Your responsibilities will include documentation and the prescription of assistive devices. This position is for you if you are looking for an independent and varied role where you can develop through a patient-centered approach and with an interdisciplinary working method as the foundation.
A significant part of the work involves providing guidance and training to families, networks, and staff groups. We offer interventions both at the clinic and in the patient's everyday environment, such as at home, in preschool, school, and work. Collaboration with other stakeholders around our patients is therefore an important aspect of the job.
**About the Workplace**
Habiliteringen is a specialist service within the region that provides support, advice, and treatment to individuals with disabilities in areas such as intellectual disabilities, autism, movement disabilities, visual impairments, and acquired brain injuries. At Habiliteringen in Köping, we work in all these areas except for visual impairments, which allows us to gain broad knowledge and experience.
At the clinic, we have approximately 25 employees from various professions in a child team and an adult team. We have two unit managers who share the leadership, which means they are often available to us in our daily work. We also have an administrative team that supports the clinic in administrative tasks. We thrive and work well in functional and pleasant premises that are well adapted to our operations. Here, we value interdisciplinary collaboration, which is of utmost importance for the development of the service with the patient at the center.
Habiliteringen Köping is located at Västmanlands Hospital in Köping and is just a three-minute walk from the train station. Köping is situated on the western shore of Lake Mälaren with close commuting distances from other cities in the Mälardalen region and Örebro.

**Qualifications**
We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist. Previous experience as an occupational therapist is an advantage, but we welcome those new to the profession as well. A qualification in AAC (Alternative Augmentative Communication) is desirable. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is also seen as a benefit. You should have good proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written. A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement for the position.

You are flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances. To assist patients in the best way possible, we expect you to be creative and take the initiative to find solutions.
