Borlänge Municipality's rehabilitation team is a cheerful group that supports one another and is now looking for you to become a part of our positive work environment. We are currently seeking two occupational therapists primarily focused on ordinary housing.
As an occupational therapist with us, you will help create conditions for patients to live as independently, actively, and meaningfully as possible through rehabilitation, training, and the provision of assistive devices.

In addition to close collaboration with other occupational therapists and physiotherapists, you will also have support from rehabilitation assistants and an administrator.
The municipality's rehabilitation services are extensive and include home healthcare, special housing, short-term accommodation, and disability care. As a new employee, you will participate in our introductory program with mentorship. Your introduction will be tailored individually to meet your needs. The standard length of the introduction is four weeks, all aimed at ensuring you have a great start with us, feel comfortable, and secure.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with the team to create conditions for patients to live as independently, actively, and meaningfully as possible through rehabilitation, training, and the provision of assistive devices.
In the role of occupational therapist, you will work with patients to find the best ways to utilize their abilities in daily life. You will support and motivate individuals to develop and maintain their mobility. Your tasks will include:
- Assessing and evaluating the need for rehabilitation
- Trial fitting, adapting, prescribing, and following up on assistive devices
- Guiding and educating staff, relatives, and other professionals
- Conducting activity assessments in home environments
- Contributing to and participating in the ongoing development of the services
- Collaborating with other stakeholders and authorities involved with the residents of Borlänge
- Writing certificates, such as housing adaptation certificates
You will have close collaboration and direct access to your colleagues.
QUALIFICATIONS
The following is required for the role:
- You must be a licensed Occupational Therapist
- A valid driver's license (Manual)
- Good communication skills in the Swedish language, both spoken and written, for documentation and communication with colleagues, healthcare staff, patients, and relatives
Meritorious:
Experience in municipal healthcare
