About this role

We are part of the Center for Movement Organs, which is a regional clinic with operations in Umeå and Skellefteå, employing approximately 270 staff members. Together with the Surgery and Orthopedics Clinic in Lycksele, we are responsible for all orthopedics in the region. The orthopedic care department is facing an exciting development this autumn with close collaboration with Umeå University. We will be opening our Clinical Education Department (KUA). Training for students and staff has always been close to our hearts, and we are now further developing this. As a result, the orthopedic care department will become a unit with a unique blend of highly specialized care that meets clinical education. It will be an exciting, educational, and multifaceted workplace. If this sounds interesting, please read on. Our orthopedic department in Umeå has up to 32 care places, and we work cross-professionally in care teams around patients aged between 18 and 100+. The department consists of three sections where we form nursing and medical teams to create specialized expertise and enhance patient safety. Additionally, one of the teams will include 4 KUA places for students. The facilities we operate in are newly renovated and tailored to ensure our operations function optimally. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As an occupational therapist with us, you will contribute your knowledge and commitment to help people feel secure. Your work will involve applying your specific expertise to enhance individuals' independence and participation in daily activities. The tasks are varied and include teamwork, cognitive assessments, rehabilitation, ADL, testing of assistive devices, counseling, care planning, and individual care plans. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist with an interest in orthopedics. We seek someone with a positive attitude. As an occupational therapist, we want you to prioritize the patient, have a good approach, and tailor your care to the patient's various needs throughout the care process. You feel a sense of responsibility and thrive in an environment with varied tasks and changing intensity. Your work may involve both acute and rehabilitative aspects. You are proactive, easy to collaborate with, and curious about new challenges. You work both in teams and independently, where flexibility and attention to detail are qualities we value.
