About this role
Our Occupational Therapist Colleague is Retiring This Spring, and We Are Now Recruiting a Successor.
Are You the One We're Looking For?
The Paramedical Group at Sabbatsberg Geriatrics is a friendly team consisting of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech therapists, dietitians, social workers, and rehabilitation assistants. When recruiting new team members, both personality and competence are important factors. We want a work environment where helping each other is natural and where our collective expertise is our strength.
About the Position
Here, you will encounter older patients with various diagnoses and life situations. You will be responsible for ADL assessment and training, personal care, selecting and prescribing assistive devices, MMSE-SR, participating in team rounds and, if needed, in care planning meetings, and collaborating with other healthcare providers in the care chain. You will also receive and supervise students. Our focus is on the patient, so we work in a team with nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, dietitians, speech therapists, social workers, and doctors.
Additionally, we work with enhanced discharge. The purpose is to offer fragile elderly continued support and follow-up from the multiprofessional geriatric team in the period immediately after hospital discharge. This ensures a safer return home and reduces the risk of acute readmission. We hope you are interested in being part of this! We also have an osteoporosis team at the clinic where occupational therapists are involved in the lecture component.
