We are now seeking a dedicated and confident Occupational Therapist/Youth Worker for the Tellus Support Housing.

Your new job
You will work closely with the youth and hold a combined position as an Occupational Therapist and Youth Worker, contributing to their psychosocial development and well-being. The work is carried out in a team with other professionals and includes responsibility for assessment, planning, documentation, and follow-up on the youth's development.
As an Occupational Therapist/Youth Worker with us, you will play a crucial role in supporting the youth in developing their daily living skills. This includes enhancing their ability to manage everyday tasks such as cooking and meal planning, ensuring a functional school experience, cleaning and personal organization, as well as planning, organizing, and executing daily activities. Furthermore, you will conduct assessments and design individual support interventions, provide practical assistance and guidance in daily living skills, actively participate in treatment work, and collaborate closely with colleagues, social services, schools, and other stakeholders. We have scheduled working hours at Tellus Support Housing, which means that shifts may include late evenings.
Your qualifications
We are looking for a licensed Occupational Therapist. Experience in prescribing assistive devices is an advantage. We prefer candidates with previous work experience with the target group and knowledge of neuropsychiatric disorders, social issues/school absenteeism/mental health. Training in any of the following methods: MI, ÅP, or ACT is also a merit.
We hope you are an independent, curious, and creative person. An interest in activities, culture, and outdoor life is a plus.
It is advantageous to have good computer skills. You must be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written, as there will be contact with participants, documentation, and reading information related to the work. A valid driver's license for a manual transmission vehicle is a requirement for this position.

Welcome to us
Tellus Support Housing for youth aged 16-21 is a service within the Social Administration's individual and family care. The service is granted through assistance and consists of supporting and teaching the youth to become independent and ready to manage the transition to adulthood. The service is voluntary, and an active personal choice is required to apply for a place in the support housing. The support housing consists of 16 independent, furnished apartments located throughout the central parts of Jönköping. Staff is available around the clock, with a sleeping on-call service at night. Currently, four of the youth workers are on-call. The housing is centrally located in Jönköping.

In this recruitment, one (1) permanent full-time position will be filled, with a start date to be agreed upon. A probationary period may apply. Evening shifts may occur.
