Job Responsibilities
As an occupational therapist with us, you will work with people over 65 who live in standard housing. The work is varied and involves both home visits and office work, where you will share facilities with other licensed occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and nurses, creating excellent conditions for everyday collaboration, support, and knowledge exchange. The combination of office work and home visits provides variation in work environment and opportunities for movement during the workday, contributing to both job satisfaction and energy.
You have considerable freedom in planning your workday but always work in close collaboration with others. In our team, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses, and care staff work together around each client, with the individual's needs at the center.
Work tasks included in your role as an occupational therapist:
• Conduct occupational therapy assessments of activities in daily living (ADL), mobility, and assistive device needs to promote independence and quality of life.
• Guide and train care staff in health-promoting and rehabilitative approaches, focusing on strengthening individual resources.
• Actively participate in team work with the client at the center, alongside licensed colleagues and care personnel, where collaboration is key to good care and rehabilitation.
Qualifications
We are seeking a licensed occupational therapist with a genuine interest in working with elderly persons. Experience with age-related diseases and home rehabilitation is considered meritorious. To perform the work, a B driver's license and good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, are required.
You are someone who enjoys collaborating and builds good relationships by listening actively, communicating clearly, and handling conflicts constructively. You are flexible and see opportunities in changes, allowing you to quickly adapt to new conditions. You have the ability to make decisions and act with confidence based on them. The role suits someone who is secure in their professional role, takes initiative, and has a good ability to plan and structure work independently.
