Occupational Therapist - General Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic, Karlskoga Hospital
Responsibilities
The responsibilities within the General Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic include independently assessing and evaluating the need for occupational therapy for preventive, therapeutic, rehabilitative, and habilitative purposes. This includes the testing and training of cognitive aids. Treatment may occur individually with the patient or through group interventions. We meet patients both at the clinic, digitally, and in their home environment. Our goal is to strengthen the patient's own resources to enable as independent a life as possible. Another important task is collaboration with care neighbors, other services, and cooperation with various authorities such as the Social Insurance Agency and the Employment Agency.
Within the General Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic, teamwork is applied with the opportunity to consult other professional groups, and as an occupational therapist, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team alongside doctors, psychologists, nurses, caregivers, and social workers.
