JOB DESCRIPTION We are seeking an occupational therapist for a temporary position until August 31, 2026. The work of the occupational therapist is highly varied; you prioritize and organize your workday both independently and together with your colleagues based on the cases you are responsible for. The practical work is primarily conducted in the patients' homes in either regular or special housing. We have a close interdisciplinary collaboration with physiotherapists, nurses, care staff, social workers/case managers, and unit managers who are in contact with the patients. We also participate in regular team conferences with care staff and other healthcare personnel. We provide training for staff in the Social Services Act (SoL) and Health and Medical Services Act (HSL) in a rehabilitative approach. We meet individuals of various ages, although most are older. Based on the patient’s ability to engage in activities, we assess needs for training, compensatory measures such as assistive devices or environmental adaptations, or offer guidance and instruction to the patient, relatives, and care staff. The responsibilities are geographically divided, but we operate from our shared location, which provides good collegial support in daily work as well as opportunities for joint professional development. The workplace consists of seven positions for occupational therapists and six positions for physiotherapists. We have a service that continuously strives to develop, with regular professional meetings for skill enhancement and collegial support. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who: • is a licensed occupational therapist • has a professional and positive demeanor, is easy to collaborate with, but also comfortable working independently • is positive and contributes to a good work environment and organizational development • has a valid driver's license (B) It is an advantage if you have experience in municipal healthcare.
