Vattenfall Services is Sweden's leading contracting company in the energy and power sector, and we are developing Sweden's energy infrastructure! With us, you will work in a future-oriented industry with a strong focus on a sustainable future. We need more energy heroes, and we are now looking for a Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) Engineer who wants to join us on the journey towards a fossil-free life! Is that you? Together, we can make a difference for the entire community. As a Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Engineer, you will belong to the Consulting Services business area and the Internal Technical Consultants department, which includes operational HSSEQ specialists, project managers, interim managers, and specialists. Within the department, we have a broad range of competencies and various levels of experience. We work both within Vattenfall Services and with our clients on consulting assignments. As a Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting managers and project leaders with HSSEQ issues. In this role, you will play a crucial part in one of our larger service agreements. You will work closely with the local operations—both in the office and in the field—developing and following up on the systematic work environment and environmental efforts. The work will be done in close collaboration with department heads, project managers, and technicians. Your main responsibilities will include: • Driving, planning, and following up on HSSEQ work. • Conducting field visits and participating in safety and environmental rounds. • Assisting in the development of environmental and work environment plans, risk management, and incident handling, as well as following up on documentation. • Helping to maintain routines and working methods to ensure compliance with work environment laws and environmental requirements. • Following up on audits and subcontractors. You will be part of a team of health and safety engineers but will be led in your assignment by our HSSEQ specialist in our contract organization. **Requirements Specification** We are looking for someone who has a strong commitment to HSSEQ issues from a business and operational perspective. You have a pedagogical approach to your work and are driven by improvement initiatives. It is essential that you appreciate collaboration and can easily build relationships, as you will have many points of contact in this role. Since you are expected to work independently, you should also be structured with good planning abilities. We believe you will grow with us, but we prefer that you already have: • Experience in systematic work environment and environmental efforts, preferably within the construction and civil engineering, energy, or manufacturing industries. • Good knowledge of work environment legislation, AFS regulations, the Environmental Code, guidelines from the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, and EU legislation related to environment and sustainability. • Education in BAS-P and BAS-U. • Experience in auditing work within HSSEQ is a merit. • Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. **Further Information** **We Offer** After several decades in the energy sector, we know that our employees are our most critical and valuable asset. Therefore, we offer you a varied workday with great opportunities for personal and professional development. We are a large and secure employer that still feels familiar, where employee safety, well-being, and collaboration are important parts of our corporate culture! At Vattenfall Services, you can make a difference, and together we take responsibility for a sustainable energy transition; together we empower a fossil-free life.
