About the Company Circulose is a textile recycling company with a unique technology and a product - CIRCULOSE® - produced from 100% textile waste, primarily cotton. The company's mission is to lead the transition to circular fashion by making large-scale textile recycling accessible. About the Role We are seeking an Occupational Health and Safety Engineer who wants to take strategic and operational responsibility for the work environment in our new factory. The role is central to creating and maintaining a safe, pleasant, and efficient work environment throughout the operation. You will drive the development of our Systematic Work Environment Management (SAM), implement preventive measures such as safe lockout/tagout procedures, and serve as expert support for operations, focusing on continuous improvements and long-term safety. You will report to the site manager and collaborate with the safety organization, HR, and management on work environment issues. Example Tasks: - Support the operations organization in risk analyses, safety inspections, and work environment investigations. - Identify, plan, and follow up on improvement measures in work environment, ergonomics, and safety. Contribute fire technology expertise – e.g., fire protection organization, training, and self-inspections. - Participate in incident and accident investigations, and ensure that lessons learned are implemented. - Work closely with production through audits, follow-ups, and observations in daily operations. - Develop routines, instructions, and training materials in the work environment area, including safe energy management and lockout/tagout procedures for machine work. - Participate in projects related to technology, machine safety, and process changes. Who You Are To succeed in the role, we see that you have: - University education in occupational health, environment, technology, or equivalent. - At least 2-3 years of experience in occupational health work within industry, production, or similar operations. - Good knowledge of the Work Environment Act, AFS regulations, and related provisions. - Experience with risk assessments, accident investigations, and systematic work environment management. Basic knowledge of fire technology and fire protection work. - Good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
