Ref: 20252565 We are currently seeking a dedicated employment officer for the Department of Work and Studies, Section 2. With us, you will leverage your skills and energy to support more residents of Malmö in finding work or education, with the aim of achieving self-sufficiency. You will become part of a knowledgeable and committed team of employment officers who work together to meet the department's objectives. Responsibilities The role of an employment officer includes: • Actively driving your cases forward; preparing, guiding, coaching, and matching participants to help them become self-sufficient or take a step towards self-sufficiency. • Being comfortable working with both individuals and groups. • Documenting the participant's progress in the Procapita database. • Planning and conducting employment and study events. • Providing practical assistance to participants in the form of creating application documents, applying for education, etc. • Collaborating and cooperating with other actors internally and externally, e.g., social services, the Employment Service, education coordinators, employers in both the private and public sectors, etc. • Participating in the development of the organization's efforts and methods. • Gathering experiences and knowledge in the field while monitoring the external environment. • Contacting employers to match participants with job opportunities. Qualifications We are looking for candidates with a university degree in behavioral sciences or social sciences relevant to the position (180 credits). You should have at least two years of relevant work experience. Experience in building contacts and fostering relationships to create and maintain good relations with various partners is essential. It is an advantage if you have experience and training in employment coaching, Consequential Pedagogy, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). We also prefer candidates who have worked with clarifying pedagogy, for instance, through image and text support. Additionally, if you have experience interacting with individuals with neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF) and are accustomed to a low-arousal approach, that would be a significant benefit. Experience working in the public sector is advantageous. You should be familiar with reaching out to employers and have recruitment experience. Ideally, you have built a broad network in the business community, public sector, non-profit organizations, and other stakeholders through previous assignments—something you view as a natural part of creating pathways to employment and collaboration. To succeed in this role, you should possess the following personal qualities/abilities: • Self-leadership • Development capability • Analytical ability • Interest in operations • Communicative • Teamwork skills • Efficiency You should express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Proficiency in other languages relevant to the organization is a plus. You have a good command of computers and are comfortable working in digital environments, preferably with tools such as Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, and Skype.
