What does a Labor Market Consultant do at Manpower Matchning?
As a labor market consultant, you work to simplify and shorten the path to a new job or studies for our candidates. To thrive in this role, you are driven by meeting people with different needs and backgrounds, with the same goal for everyone you meet: job or studies. Your everyday tasks include:
...conducting individual meetings to support candidates in their unique processes.
...actively developing employer contacts to create good matches.
...holding energetic group activities, both physically and digitally, about how the job market works and different tools for effective job seeking.
...working with a strong focus on results.
You see all of these as natural components of your daily work and are driven to make a difference.
Your Background
Our client, the Swedish Public Employment Service, requires eligibility to work in the service:
Option 1:
You have a university degree (180 ECTS) in fields such as working life, organizational and personnel work, behavioral science, occupational therapy, career counseling, psychology, or social work. Other university educations may also be relevant, and we primarily want to find the right person rather than someone with the "right" education.
You need at least 2 years of full-time work experience, preferably with experience in career transition/career counseling, but you may also have worked in recruitment/staffing/education/sales/marketing.
Option 2:
- Education: At least one (1) year of full-time post-secondary studies with at least passing results.
- Work Experience: At least three (3) years of full-time equivalent experience in one or more of the following professions or tasks:
- Management with personnel responsibility
- Recruitment
- Career transition for job seekers
- Career and study guidance
- Personnel matter administration (not just administrative)
- Work with labor and employment issues
- Work with social and group psychology
- Career counseling
Part-time can also be approved if the total working time corresponds to full-time over three (3) years.
You have the ability to communicate clearly in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and have good English skills. If you speak additional languages, that is highly meriting. We prefer candidates with a broad network of business contacts and a valid driver's license B (may need to staff other offices if needed).
About the Position
Your placement will be in Gävle. The position is hourly employment as needed. Start date by agreement.
