Labor Market Coach for the Project Unit

The Department of Labor Market and Adult Education is responsible for the municipality's labor market initiatives, daily activities, adult education, and issues related to higher education, such as vocational training and other post-secondary education programs. Our goal is to provide the residents of Botkyrka with good conditions to pursue studies, work, and employment. We are 330 employees working to enable more citizens to achieve self-sufficiency. The Position and Responsibilities We are now seeking a labor market coach for a fixed-term full-time position until May 2027. As a labor market coach, you will work within the Project Unit at the Labor Market Department in Botkyrka Municipality. The unit is responsible for Municipal Activity Responsibility (KAA) and several development projects aimed at strengthening young people's opportunities for work and studies. In this position, you will work on the project "Paths to Creative Industries," which targets young adults aged 18 to 29. The project focuses on creating pathways to work and education in cultural and creative sectors such as music, film, fashion, design, digital media, art, and dance. In this role, you will support participants through individualized and structured interventions that strengthen motivation, self-confidence, and the ability to take the next step towards the labor market. The work is carried out both independently and in collaboration with colleagues, employers, and partners. Your main responsibilities will include: - Assessing participants' needs, documenting interventions, and following up on progress - Planning and conducting activities individually and in groups to help participants achieve work or studies - Developing action plans with clear goals and being responsible for follow-up - Providing guidance and support to both participants and employers - Collaborating with workplaces, educational providers, social services, the Public Employment Service, the Social Insurance Agency, and other stakeholders - Establishing and maintaining relationships with internal municipal actors and external companies and non-profit organizations - Ensuring that the work is carried out according to the project's goals and frameworks. As a labor market coach, you will be an important part of a project that develops new pathways to jobs and education in one of Sweden's fastest-growing sectors. You will contribute to strengthening young people's future opportunities and create change at both the individual and community levels. Who We Are Looking For You have a university degree in behavioral science, sociology, or another relevant field that the employer deems equivalent. You also have experience working where you have provided support, guidance, or counseling to people in various life situations. To succeed in this role, you need practical experience in labor market issues and in collaborating with different stakeholders. Other Requirements: - Experience working in professional roles where you have provided support, counseling, or guidance to individuals with diverse needs and circumstances. - Experience communicating with and adapting information for various target groups, such as participants, employers, educational providers, or authorities. We consider it an advantage if you have: - Training in Motivational Interviewing (MI). - Training in Supported Employment (SE). - Experience in coaching and individualized support. - Experience in project-based work. In the role of labor market coach, you need to easily establish contact and build trust, both with participants and partners. You will work closely with colleagues, employers, educational providers, and other stakeholders, so you need to be collaborative and relationship-oriented.
