About this role

Building and maintaining roads and infrastructure is significant. Contributing to community development is even greater. With us, you can do both. We are currently seeking a site supervisor for our Industrial division and our paving operations in Gothenburg. At Svevia, we combine the camaraderie and team spirit of a small company with the stability of a large corporation. Here, you will have the opportunity to develop as a road specialist—with commitment, collaboration, and responsibility. Our asphalt division in Västra Götaland continues to thrive, and to meet our customers' needs and requests, we are looking for an additional site supervisor for the spring of 2026. Your role as a site supervisor As a site supervisor with us, you will plan and drive daily production together with your Site Manager. You will play a crucial role, balancing your time between production on-site and office work where you plan, follow up, and support in accounting and invoicing of completed jobs. This role is ideal for someone who seeks a varied position that includes both outdoor and indoor work. As a site supervisor, it is important that you are both visible and accessible. Daily interactions with customers, subcontractors, and employees are a natural part of the job. More specifically, as a site supervisor, you will work with: • Daily leadership of your work team (you prepare for a task, participate on-site to start and instruct the team, and follow up when the paving and job are completed) • Coordination of resources such as traffic management and signage, milling, ordering asphalt mix, haulers, and road markings. • Planning and establishing timelines for upcoming jobs in the coming weeks. • Monitoring projects to ensure delivery meets the right quality within the correct time and budget. • Together with the Site Manager, you will ensure a good working environment and that work is carried out safely—safety is important to us! All employees have an individual development plan, and there are many good examples of individuals who have progressed from skilled workers to site supervisors and then to Site Managers. Your ambition and willingness will determine how your development journey unfolds with us at Svevia Paving. The area of responsibility is Västra Götaland, and for this role, you will be based at our office in Grimboåsen, Gothenburg. Travel is part of the job. We work in bright and pleasant office premises from which both skilled workers and office staff operate. We also have our own workshop on-site. Who are you? We see that you have 2–5 years of experience working with asphalt and are looking to take the next step in your career, and you are proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. Additionally, you have: • Experience in the role of team leader or coordinating paving worker. • A valid driver's license (B) – for this position, there is also an offer for a company vehicle or personal car. • Good computer skills and an interest in digital working methods and processes. As the business is seasonal, most of our work is carried out from April to December, and to some extent during inconvenient hours such as evenings and nights. Your personality is important to us! We believe you have a positive and unpretentious leadership style, are structured and motivating, and enjoy daily contact with customers and subcontractors. The position is a permanent employment that begins with a 6-month probationary period. Being part of something larger, Svevia's industrial division is in an expansive phase, and the ambitions are high. The goal is to be a leading player in paving in Sweden. Behind every road lies more than the obvious surface: a whole industry of knowledge and delivery capability. Our offering is an industrial process. From stone to finished road. It all starts with a quarry, which then becomes aggregate, used in the production of asphalt, which is ultimately laid on the road. With over 100 of our own quarries, in-house production of asphalt, bitumen emulsion, and thermoplastics, we have a breadth that no one else can match. In our laboratories, we conduct material analyses to ensure that products meet standards and requirements. Our skilled teams in milling, paving, tank coating, and road marking ensure that delivery is complete. Why Svevia? With us, you quickly become part of the team, and we are committed to being a workplace for everyone. The decision-making processes are short, making it easy to influence and have your voice heard. We have career paths for those who want to become managers and leaders or wish to develop in their existing professional roles. It is as a team that we create success. That is how we do business and generate results. That is how we make cities and rural areas function. Do you want to share the road with us?
