Are you ready to influence the work at our youth centers and meeting places? Now you have the opportunity to coach and inspire a team in their important mission while developing your own leadership. We are seeking a team leader for a temporary position until 2026-10-31.
Youth Leisure and Meeting Places' mission is to create opportunities for good living conditions and meaningful leisure time for our visitors. Leisure is an important arena for both young and old when it comes to feeling influence over one's own life, experiencing participation, and engaging in democratic society. We are a crucial part of the joint initiative for Safe Youth, where collaboration between leisure, social services, schools, and police is the focus. We also play a driving role in Eskilstuna's neighborhood work, which is based on dialogue and co-creation in collaboration with visitors and various municipal activities, associations, and study organizations.
WORK TASKS
As team leader, you are responsible for daily operational management where you prioritize and distribute work, support, instruct, and inspire employees. Your team includes both permanent and hourly staff working as youth leaders and developers. You are close to the operation and well-versed in all activities to understand what your employees encounter in their daily work. You create a cohesive team, and together you make a difference for Eskilstuna residents.
Collaboration and development are important parts of your job. You both participate in and drive various development projects with partners within the municipality. A key aspect is collaboration with Meeting Place Fröslunda, where we join forces with the Job Center. You are led by your unit manager and have a fellow team leader in the unit with whom you work closely.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking someone who wants to develop their leadership and has worked with open youth activities at youth centers, meeting places, or within social services. You have experience in a leadership role within social work, labor market, or culture and leisure. Having experience collaborating with civil society, schools, police, and social services, along with higher education, is a plus. You need to be able to work evenings and weekends, and having a driver's license (B-license) is advantageous.
You have experience and understand the social situation and living conditions in our areas related to both youth and adults. You are flexible, can adapt your approach to different situations, and are good at building relationships. You have the perseverance and patience required to create change over time.

The Culture and Leisure Administration's mission is to create conditions for good living conditions for all Eskilstuna residents and visitors by offering a wide range of cultural activities and opportunities for a stimulating leisure time. We are responsible for the municipality's cultural school, libraries, meeting places, archives, museums, youth centers, association support, and venues for culture, sports, and outdoor activities.
The administration has an administrative office and three units: Arena and Outdoor Life area, Youth Leisure and Meeting Places area, and Culture area.
