Team Leader for Recreation and Swimming Facilities

Leisure Administration within Umeå Municipality aims to contribute to a good living environment by creating opportunities for an active leisure time with sports, exercise, recreation, and public health. The operational responsibility includes management and operation of sports and leisure facilities, leisure, excursion and recreation areas, boat facilities, and initiatives in recreational fishing and outdoor activities. The Leisure Administration, through the municipality's joint Association Bureau, is responsible for comprehensive preparation, follow-up, and evaluation of municipal support to associations and strengthening contacts between the municipality's representatives and organized associations. Navet is Umeå's largest swimming hall and experience pool located in the city center. We opened our doors in 2016, and in our modern facilities, we offer swimming, exercise, relaxation, and experiences for everyone. Approximately 50 employees work with us in swimming, operations, and restaurant, and during summer, staff is also distributed to Umelagun, a heated outdoor pool adjacent to Nydalabad's beach at the northern end of Nydala Lake. We are now seeking someone who wants to be a key person in leading daily operations at our swimming hall and creating a safe, welcoming environment for our visitors! Your Responsibilities You will have a leadership role in a vibrant and eventful environment where you have full or shared responsibility for activities such as operational planning, customer safety, updates in Senovic (daily management system), and onboarding new employees. You will also lead and allocate work for swimming staff regarding maintaining facility hygiene and providing excellent service to visitors. The position also involves contact with schools and associations, and functioning as a link between customers and other facility personnel. About You You enjoy handling multiple tasks simultaneously and have a desire to provide excellent service to both visitors and colleagues. The pace can sometimes be high, so we seek someone stress-resistant who can remain calm during unexpected situations. As a person, you have strong leadership qualities. You collaborate well with others, communicate clearly, and can make well-grounded decisions. You are solution-oriented and find ways forward when challenges arise. Furthermore, you have: - Approved high school diploma - Water rescue ability equivalent to Gold Badge and CPR training - Good computer skills - Class B driver's license - Strong ability to express yourself verbally and in writing, with good Swedish and English language skills to communicate effectively with facility visitors and ensure their safety Advantageous for this position is knowledge of public swimming facility standards and previous leadership experience.
