JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are now seeking a team leader for our Street and Park Unit at the Technical Office. The unit consists of a Street and Park Manager, Operations Manager, Team Leaders, Street, Park, and Planning Engineers, Workshop Workers, Traffic Supervisors, and Construction Workers.
As one of three team leaders, you will take primary responsibility for the municipality's block areas and external environments of municipal properties, while your colleagues do the same for public spaces and seasonal workers. Together, you will closely collaborate across your areas of responsibility, sharing knowledge and expertise to cover for each other during peak work periods, holidays, or sick leave.
The unit is responsible for managing and maintaining the municipality's outdoor environment, with all team members working towards a clean and safe public space. This involves maintaining streets, green areas, playgrounds, and block areas including outdoor environments around facilities such as schools, preschools, and care homes.
The team leader role is both operational and administrative, where you will lead and distribute work for construction workers. Tasks range from daily operational maintenance to more extensive planning for seasonal work like sand and leaf removal and snow clearing. The work is varied and seasonal, which means you'll move between your fixed office space and outdoor environments, demonstrating work or following up with contractors.
Your responsibilities include:
• Contractor contact and follow-up
• Maintaining good dialogue with internal tenants
• Coordinating and tracking completed work
• Preparing and planning preventative and corrective maintenance
• Administrative tasks including planning, documentation, material purchases, and case management
We are seeking a candidate with:
• Several years of work experience in a leadership role
• Good computer skills
• Driver's license (B-class)
• Ability to participate in scheduled on-call winter road maintenance
We will emphasize leadership skills, personal competencies, and computer proficiency. We seek someone who can lead, motivate, and empower others to effectively achieve common goals.
Interviews are planned in stages during weeks 50 and 51.
