About this role

Do you want to work in direct social services by supporting individuals with psychiatric disabilities in their development? We are currently seeking a job consultant for our employment program, Gnistan, in Upplands Väsby. **About the Role** Based on our participants' wishes and circumstances, you will collaborate with them to map out their strengths and challenges, preferences for work tasks they wish to try, the extent of their involvement, and any potential need for adjustments to ensure they succeed in their practice as effectively as possible. **About Gnistan** Gnistan daily employment services cater to individuals living with mental health issues. We offer meaningful engagement where you can try various work tasks under workplace-like conditions, allowing you to develop at your own pace and according to your circumstances. We work individually tailored to each participant based on Nytida's pedagogical framework, which is grounded in low-arousal responses, clarifying pedagogy, and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC). Gnistan also employs Individual Placement and Support (IPS) to assist individuals in finding work, education, internships, and in liaising with employment agencies. **Activities** Examples of tailored work include: - Computer group, working both in groups and individually based on preferences - Newspaper group, working on Gnistan's own publication - Lego/assembly work, completing tasks for companies such as assembling reflectors - Textile group, knitting, crocheting, and sewing - Book circle, listening to audiobooks, watching documentaries, attending lectures, and discussing current topics - ESL group, working with the method "A Life of Independence" across various life areas - Art circle, painting and creating with different materials - Store group, selling participants' art and crafts in Gnistan's shop Additionally, we engage in other activities and outings based on participants' wishes and hold regular Gnistan meetings with staff and participants. **Your Experience and Knowledge** As our next job consultant, it is desirable that you have a higher education degree as an occupational therapist, behavioral scientist, physiotherapist, social worker, or another qualification deemed suitable by the employer. The job consultant should also have at least two years of experience mentoring individuals with mental health issues and experience in securing work trial placements and following up on work trials. Otherwise, your CV is not the most important aspect. If you possess the right qualities, we will provide you with support and opportunities to grow.
