About this role
Are you ready to make a real difference for individuals with visual, hearing, and auditory impairments? As an employment officer within SIUS, you will assist job seekers in finding, obtaining, and retaining employment.
Together, we will get Sweden to work. Do you want to be one of us?
**Our Workplace**
In specialized sections within the Employment Agency, there are specialists for job seekers with disabilities related to vision, hearing, and auditory functions. The specialists include audiologists, deaf consultants, vision specialists, employment officers, and SIUS consultants.
The section belongs to the Jämtland/Härjedalen unit but operates throughout the entire Northern Region. Our goal is to create full participation and equality for individuals with the aforementioned disabilities by providing support and creating conditions for work or education.
We are now looking for an employment officer with a focus on SIUS (Special Introduction and Follow-up Support).
**Job Description**
As an employment officer with a focus on SIUS, you will work to identify and highlight the job seeker's competencies and motivations to help them secure employment or pursue studies. You will also gather information from employers about relevant job opportunities and present suitable candidates. In this role, you will collaborate with your colleagues in the section. The service area for this position includes the four northernmost counties: Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Västernorrland, and Jämtland/Härjedalen. Travel is a natural part of the job and occurs frequently.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working more closely with individuals who, for various reasons, find it challenging to enter the labor market. Your tasks will include identifying job seekers' competencies and motivations to help them find, obtain, retain, or return to employment.
Your employment will begin with an introduction where you will be well-equipped with the necessary skills to handle your upcoming tasks as a civil servant. If you are ready to make a difference in this important societal mission, then the Employment Agency is the place for you!
**Our Offer**
The position is a permanent full-time employment that may start with a six-month probationary period. The work location is Umeå.
We offer you the opportunity to work in a workplace where we value a balance between work and personal life. You will have access to a generous vacation agreement, flexible working hours, and the possibility to work remotely for part of your working time when the operations allow. We also include wellness activities during work hours and a favorable wellness allowance.
As an employee of the Employment Agency, you will also have access to professional development and career opportunities within the agency. Through our work, we contribute to an inclusive and sustainable society, where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference for individuals and for society at large.
