Economic Advisor in Paris, Ministry of Finance Are you interested in working as an economic advisor at Sweden's Permanent Delegation to the OECD and UNESCO? Location is in Paris. Your Workday. Sweden's Tomorrow. At Sweden's Permanent Delegation to the OECD and UNESCO, we are now seeking an economic advisor who will monitor economic development and the formulation of economic policies in member countries and in some major countries outside the OECD area. You will also follow the OECD's work concerning macroeconomics, structural policy, financial markets, labor market, taxes, and competitive conditions. You will represent Sweden in the Economic and Development Review Committee (EDRC), where qualified analyses of economic development and economic policy formation in the current countries are part of the job duties. The work involves ongoing reporting and coordination with the Ministry of Finance. A central part of the job is also maintaining contact with OECD staff and representatives from other member countries to gather information and promote networking. Learn more about our operations at www.government.se Your Background We are seeking someone with an academic degree in economics and several years of experience in economic investigation work. Experience in in-depth analysis of macroeconomics, structural policy, financial markets, labor market, taxes, and competitive conditions is meritorious. You need to have good knowledge of socio-economic issues and the OECD as an institution. Very good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, are essential. Experience in international negotiations, management, and project leadership is a merit. To succeed in your job, you need to have experience considered current and relevant by the employer, preferably from work in the Government Offices. The position is classified in a security class, and a security review with register check will be conducted before a decision on employment is made.
