Your mission
In the role of nursing assistant at Kärråkra dementia care home, your responsibilities include providing care, service, and support to our residents, as well as conducting social activities based on their individual needs and wishes. The work is person-centered, and we utilize care plans. We tailor the support provided based on the resident's capabilities to the greatest extent possible. Your role includes motivating and stimulating residents to maintain their ability to participate and be independent. We employ a low-arousal approach, so it is important that you are calm and secure in your role as a nursing assistant. Our various professional roles work collaboratively to develop response/action plans based on BPSD assessments (behavioral and psychological symptoms in dementia) and Senior Alert, which are also regularly evaluated by the team.
We practice active case management, where collaboration with relatives is an important part of the work. The role also includes administering medications as delegated by a nurse. Documentation is done in the Lifecare record-keeping system.
At Kärråkra, we work according to a schedule that includes days, evenings, and every other weekend.
Your experience
To be considered for the position of nursing assistant at Kärråkra, we expect you to:
• Be a trained nursing assistant with approved grades
• Master the Swedish language in both spoken and written form, as well as have good reading comprehension
• Have good computer skills
• Have previous experience in dementia care
Strongly meritorious are:
• Previous experience working with BPSD and Senior Alert
• Ability to create care plans and document accordingly
• Previous experience with various delegations
• Familiarity with the Lifecare record-keeping system
To be employed as a nursing assistant, you need to present the certificate for protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare.

About the workplace
Kärråkra special housing for dementia is located next to a green area in Eslöv. The facility consists of 4 units with a total of 56 apartments spread over 2 floors. We share an entrance with the health center, and on the ground floor, the Kärråkra restaurant is open daily for lunch or coffee. The building also houses our day activity center, Alegården, with which we have a close collaboration.
Kärråkra is a 20-minute walk from the train station, and if you take the bus, it only takes 10 minutes.
