SiS Youth Home Ryds brunn receives school-age boys with psychosocial problems, criminal behavior, and substance abuse.
Job Description
We are seeking a licensed nurse for SiS Youth Home Ryds brunn. You will be part of our healthcare team, which also includes two psychologists, three treatment secretaries, and consulting physicians.
Ryds brunn has three departments for boys between 12 and 16 years old: one MBB department and two treatment departments. Regardless of the department, the youth you encounter have complex issues. Criminal behavior and behavioral problems often occur, frequently combined with psychiatric challenges.
As a nurse here, you will often be the first point of contact for health concerns of our placed youth. You will function as a support function for treatment staff regarding youth healthcare needs. The work includes follow-up, care, emergency interventions, medication management, and participation in the student health team.
Qualifications
You must be a licensed nurse with several years of experience. Particularly relevant experience includes work with youth in psychiatry, substance abuse, or student health. It is important that you are interested in working with youth with behavioral issues and are skilled at establishing collaboration with both youth and staff. You need good planning and organizational skills, ability to prioritize work based on emerging needs, and ease of verbal and written communication. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
You should also have:
• Valid Class B driver's license
• Access to a car

Employment:
This is a permanent full-time position starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement.
