The Swedish Armed Forces Dog Service Unit is seeking a Facility Custodian
About the Position
The Dog Service Unit (FHTE) of the Swedish Armed Forces is part of the Air Combat School (LSS) and breeds and trains service dogs for search and patrol duties. FHTE is tasked with developing dog services and providing the Armed Forces' combat units with dogs that meet the high standards set by the Armed Forces. Together with dog handlers, the service dogs are trained for assignments in the war organization, both nationally and internationally.
We are currently looking for a Facility Custodian to be stationed at FHTE in Sigtuna/Märsta.
Main Responsibilities
• Daily maintenance and upkeep of the facility
• Maintenance and servicing of equipment and vehicle fleet
• Monitoring and documentation in an IT environment
• Extensive contact with external contractors and other authorities
• Transportation of vehicles and dogs
Qualifications
• Documented experience in similar work, i.e., practical work related to the operation and maintenance of properties and vehicles
• Good computer skills (MS Office)
• B driver's license

Meritorious
• Experience in the operation and maintenance of properties
• Experience in relevant work within the Armed Forces, e.g., in vehicles and logistics, as well as an understanding of the military context
• Experience in fire safety work
• Forklift license
• Military driving license
• Understanding of the training and handling of military service dogs

• Employment Type: Permanent position starting with a six-month probationary period for those not already employed by the authority
