Maintenance Unit Water is our most essential resource, and Gotland's water supply is an important and current issue. The Water and Wastewater Department works on planning for the renewal and maintenance of our pipeline networks, investigations, renovations, and maintenance of our water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, and water sources. The Water and Wastewater Department consists of six units and approximately 80 employees and is now facing several large and interesting water and wastewater projects, including the expansion of the water and wastewater system. The department's task is to supply our customers, the residents and visitors of Gotland, with the most vital resource - high-quality drinking water. An equally important task is to treat wastewater to protect the aquatic environment. The department manages the pipeline networks, water treatment plants, and wastewater treatment plants, as well as pump stations and water reservoirs throughout Gotland. The Maintenance Unit consists of five groups with team leaders, totaling about 28 employees who work with construction, new production, and maintenance. In our organization, we have both extensive and solid experience, and you will never be alone in your job but will always have the support of the entire water and wastewater team. Your Responsibilities You will work on new installations and maintenance tasks on the pipeline network, with all of Gotland as your work area. As a construction worker with us, you will perform excavation and pipe-laying work in the water and wastewater pipeline network. Our unit comprises three construction teams: north, south, and investigation, which together cover the island with broad expertise. Your responsibilities will include leading and driving certain pipeline network projects with the help of external contractors, supported by the team leader. On-call duty may be part of your assignment. Who You Are We are looking for someone with good experience in construction work, and a B driving license is a requirement for the position. It is advantageous if you also have a BE or C driving license, forklift/loader certification, and professional certification/operating license for excavators. We prefer that you have several years of experience in the field, preferably within construction and construction work. You are self-sufficient, proactive, and have good collaboration skills. You make sound decisions even under pressure and work systematically to achieve set goals. Welcome with your application!
