Job Responsibilities
Do you want to make a real difference? We are seeking two Family Caregiver Consultants for the Elderly and Care Administration, primarily located in the Northeast urban area.
As a Family Caregiver Consultant within the Health Promotion and Prevention division, you will offer support to caregivers. Your tasks include:
Initiating and leading group and individual conversations. Leading groups and activities. Providing advice and guidance on caregiver support and referring to other professionals when needed. Spreading and marketing caregiver issues and available support. Serving as a support function for other operations regarding caregiver matters. Organizing lectures and information sessions, collaborating with relevant actors, and developing caregiver support. Working proactively and creating and driving work groups and networks locally and regionally.
A central challenge is to reach more caregivers and offer support to as many as possible through various approaches. The focus for these two positions will be to work together with colleagues close to residents in areas on Hisingen and in the Northeast where we currently reach few caregivers. One position will be more oriented towards Hisingen and the other towards the Northeast, but the outreach work will primarily be conducted jointly.
You will also monitor the environment to gather evidence-based knowledge about caregivers' situations. You will collaborate with associations, interest organizations, and city operations to develop support for caregivers and systematically follow up and evaluate caregiver support work within the administration.
Working hours are daytime, but evening and weekend work may occur for special activities or events.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in social work, pedagogy, or behavioral science. Alternatively, another higher education program that the employer deems relevant for the position.
- Experience leading groups.
- Experience conducting support conversations both individually and in groups.
- Ability to express yourself well and pedagogically in the Swedish language, both verbally and in writing.
- Good computer skills and experience working digitally.
- Experience working with caregiver issues.
