About this role
Stockholm - our capital with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone living here today and in the future. Now we're seeking you who wants to think big, new, and different with us - for the people of Stockholm.
The Traffic Department is responsible for managing and developing Stockholm's public spaces to ensure they are safe, attractive, accessible, and sustainable. Our mission encompasses everything from maintaining the existing urban environment to implementing strategic investment projects and planning for tomorrow's growing metropolis. To fulfill our mission, we are around 470 colleagues, primarily located in the newly renovated premises of the Technical Administration Building on Kungsholmen. Together, we ensure that Stockholm continues to be a city at the forefront of sustainable transport solutions and vibrant environments, both today and in the future.
Welcome to Us
The Traffic Planning Department has approximately 60 dedicated, experienced, and knowledgeable employees currently distributed across four units.
In addition to strategic traffic planning and responsibility for traffic and street environments, we also work with innovation and new technology. We drive comprehensive efforts to increase traffic safety, accessibility, security, and attractiveness for all of the city's street environments and public spaces. Our work includes both renovation of existing environments and planning for new developments.
You will be part of the Analysis and Strategy unit, which is responsible for collecting traffic data for the City of Stockholm. The collected data is analyzed to create insights into how the city is used for movement and staying. Through continuous knowledge development via environmental monitoring and test projects, we formulate goals, strategies, and plans that guide the entire City of Stockholm.
It is a dynamic workplace in a forward-leaning environment with high expectations from both political leadership and management to raise the bar and become more data-driven. You will work alongside 18 committed colleagues in a highly competent group with a strong team spirit in a non-hierarchical work climate. The department offers both generalist and specialist competencies, providing excellent opportunities for knowledge exchange and collaboration with numerous colleagues.
We Offer
A position that affects many people's daily lives and the opportunity to contribute to a better Stockholm. You'll have a central workplace in the Technical Administration Building on Kungsholmen, just a few minutes' walk from Central Station. We offer flexible working hours, excellent wellness opportunities, and varied work where you can plan and manage your own time. Continuous personal development is encouraged.

- Experience in quality assurance and documentation of models, scenarios, and analysis documentation
- Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience with other forecast models and traffic forecast tools
- Understanding of traffic models' role in socio-economic calculations
- Experience with data visualization and result presentation
