About this role

We are now seeking someone who wants to work in an exciting workplace at the center of events. As an analyst in the Operational Situational Information and Analysis (OLiA) section, you will be part of a work group that produces decision-making documentation for the Swedish Armed Forces' Operational Commander and their staff. OLiA belongs to the Operations Management (OPL) Planning Department at the Swedish Armed Forces Headquarters in Stockholm. The Operations Management's mission is to plan, lead, and follow up on the Swedish Armed Forces' operations, both in Sweden and abroad. OLiA is a function that writes reports and develops situational pictures based on the information needs of senior leadership. The analyst role includes gathering, structuring, processing, and analyzing information, as well as producing written materials concerning the Swedish Armed Forces' national and international activities. You will also verbally present these materials in various forums. You need to be comfortable performing routine tasks while remaining flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances. These qualities are important because work in an operational environment must be adjusted according to global developments and the information needs of task assignors. Main Responsibilities: • Gather, structure, process, and analyze information from various sources. • Produce written reports and situational pictures. • Participate and represent the function in various forums. • Prepare and conduct oral presentations. • Contribute to the development of joint section products. • Participate in experience-sharing work. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as political science or international relations. • At least 3 years of relevant and current work experience. • Good computer skills and knowledge of the Office package. • Excellent ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English. Merits: • Relevant and current experience in structured processing and analysis. • Relevant and current experience in producing written decision-making documentation. • Relevant and current service experience within the Swedish Armed Forces or similar organization. • Current and relevant knowledge of NATO's operational activities. • Experience handling confidential information.
