The ambulance service in Värmland operates across the region with ambulances stationed in twelve locations. We are a suitably sized and cohesive healthcare organization with short decision-making paths that allow you to see the bigger picture and contribute to change.
In preparation for summer 2026, we are seeking new employees for the ambulance station in Årjäng. Summer substitutes may transition into permanent positions.
The ambulance service faces challenges in the acute care of the sick and injured in many different environments. By assessing, referring, caring for, and transporting patients, we ensure that they receive proper care at the right level. Our goal is to always have a secure patient who knows the next step in their care journey.
You will work both day and night shifts.
Healthcare is based on our patients' needs and our employees' competencies. We aim to advance healthcare together with our staff. We strive for a good working environment, with stimulating tasks and an individually tailored onboarding process. All new employees will undergo a 7-week introductory and position training program.
We are looking for someone who is a trained ambulance nurse with priority 1 qualifications. You are responsible, flexible, and a good team player. A category B driver's license and a category C1/C driver's license are required, with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
Before any potential employment, you will need to complete work tests and pass a health assessment conducted by the region. Region Värmland promotes a drug-free work environment and mandates a drug test for new hires.

A full day for interviews and work tests will be conducted on Tuesday, December 9. It is desirable that you bring proof of your ability to swim 200 meters and an extract from the criminal record.
