The ambulance service in Värmland operates across the county with ambulances stationed in twelve locations. We are a suitably sized and cohesive healthcare organization with short decision-making paths that allow you to see the big picture and contribute to making an impact.
In preparation for summer 2026, we are seeking new staff for the ambulance station in Filipstad. Summer positions may evolve into permanent roles.
The ambulance service is challenged by the acute care of sick and injured individuals in various environments. By assessing, referring, caring for, and transporting patients, we contribute to ensuring that the patient receives proper care at the right level. Our goal is always to have a safe patient who understands the next step in their care journey.
You will be working both day and night shifts.
Healthcare is centered around our patients' needs and the competences of our employees. We aim to advance healthcare together with our staff. We strive for a positive work environment with stimulating tasks and individually tailored onboarding. All new hires undergo a 7-week introductory and role-specific training program.
We are looking for qualified ambulance professionals with priority 1 certification. As a person, you are responsible, flexible, and have strong collaborative skills. A category B driver's license and C1/C license are required, with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
Prior to potential employment, you will need to complete work tests and undergo an approved health inspection arranged by the region. Region Värmland promotes a drug-free workplace and applies mandatory drug testing for new hires.

On Tuesday, December 9, a full day will be held in Karlstad for interviews and work tests. For this day, it is desirable that you bring a certificate proving your ability to swim 200 meters and a copy of your criminal record.
