NU Healthcare is part of the Västra Götaland Region and is one of Sweden's larger county hospitals. We are located at NÄL (Northern Älvsborg County Hospital) in Trollhättan and Uddevalla Hospital. The hospital's catchment area covers 280,000 inhabitants. Together, we are approximately 5,000 employees who work every day to provide high-quality and safe specialized healthcare. We are located on the west coast, and our area offers diverse nature with sea, mountains, forest, and lake.
Ambulance Services
The ambulance services under NU Healthcare extend across the entire catchment area, from the west coast and Bohuslän to the beautiful Dalsland landscape with its picturesque nature of forests, mountains, and lakes.
We are organized into six sub-areas: North Bohus (Tanum, Strömstad, and Kungshamn), West Bohus (Munkedal, Hallinden, and Lysekil), North Dalsland (Åmål, Bengtsfors), South Dalsland (Dals Ed, Mellerud, and Färgelanda), West Trestad (Uddevalla and Henån), and East Trestad (Trollhättan and Lilla Edet).
The ambulance service staffs emergency ambulances, assessment vehicles, intensive care ambulances, ambulance buses, and medical transports. The ambulance crew always consists of at least one nurse.
As a paramedic in the ambulance service, you are offered a free and varied work environment. You will work in a staff group with excellent cohesion and a good work climate. The ambulance service works with continuous improvements, including systems and routines for patient follow-up, recurring internal training and exercises, collaboration assignments with other healthcare providers, and good opportunities for further education with financial assistance.
Summer internships are offered with placement in one of our ambulance areas.
Qualifications
Certified nursing assistant with additional ambulance healthcare training. Emergency driver training approved by NU Healthcare. Experience in emergency healthcare is meritorious. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, flexibility, ability to work independently, and social competence.
You should have good physical capacity; tests are included in the recruitment process. Requirements include a driver's license with at least C1 authorization, or B license taken before 1996 with dispensation.
Test days are scheduled for the following dates: 14/1, 21/1, 4/2, 11/2.
Working Hours
Working hours are scheduled with service during day, night, and weekend shifts.
