In preparation for the summer of 2026, we are seeking new employees for the ambulance station in Filipstad. Summer substitutes may transition into permanent positions.
The ambulance service faces challenges in the acute care of sick and injured people in many different environments. By assessing, referring, caring for, and transporting patients, we contribute to ensuring that patients receive good care at the appropriate care level. Our goal is always to have a secure patient who knows the next step in the care chain.
Work hours include both day and night shifts.
Health and medical care is based on our patients' needs and our employees' competencies. We aim to advance healthcare together with our employees. We strive for a good work environment with stimulating tasks and individually tailored onboarding. All new hires complete a 7-week introduction and position training.
We are looking for you who are an ambulance nurse or a licensed nurse with at least 1 year of clinical experience. As a person, you are responsible and flexible with strong collaborative skills. A valid driver’s license (Category B) is required, along with at least 3 years of driving experience. A C1/C driver's license is a merit.
Before potential employment, you will need to complete work tests and undergo an approved health check conducted by the region. Region Värmland promotes a drug-free workplace and applies mandatory drug testing for new hires.
On Tuesday, December 9, an all-day event will be held in Karlstad for interviews and work tests. If you are a candidate for the position, you will receive a separate email invitation for this day. It is recommended that you bring documentation proving you can swim 200 meters.
