The Ambulance Service in Värmland is region-wide, with ambulances stationed in twelve locations. We are of a suitable size and cohesive healthcare organization with short decision-making paths that allow you to see the big picture and contribute to change.
In preparation for the summer of 2026, we are looking for new staff for the ambulance station in Årjäng. Summer positions may lead to permanent contracts.
The Ambulance Service is challenged by the acute care of the sick and injured in various environments. By assessing, referring, caring for, and transporting patients, we ensure that they receive proper care at the right level. Our goal is to always have a secure patient who understands the next step in the care chain.
Work will be both day and night shifts.
Healthcare is based on the needs of our patients and the competence of our staff. We aim to advance healthcare together with our employees. We are committed to creating a good working environment with engaging tasks and individually tailored onboarding. All new hires will undergo a 7-week introductory and position training program.
We are looking for you who are a paramedic or a licensed nurse with at least 1 year of clinical experience. As a person, you are responsible and flexible with good teamwork skills. A B driving license is required, and a minimum of 3 years of driving experience. A C1/C driving license is an advantage.
Before any potential employment, you will need to complete work tests and undergo an approved health check conducted by the region. Region Värmland promotes a drug-free workplace and requires mandatory drug testing during the hiring process.
On Tuesday, December 9, a full day of interviews and work tests will take place in Karlstad. If you are being considered for the position, you will be invited to this day in a separate email. For this day, it is preferred that you bring proof of your ability to swim 200 meters.
