Lund University is seeking 2-3 teaching assistants for placement at Lund University’s Faculty of Engineering, Department of Building and Environmental Technology, Division of Building Materials.
**Description of the Workplace**
The position is located at Lund University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Building and Environmental Technology, Division of Building Materials. The division conducts teaching and research on building materials. Approximately fourteen people work in the division, categorized as teachers/researchers, doctoral students, and technical-administrative staff. Teaching assistants perform tasks related to undergraduate education, research, and administration. The workplace is situated in the V-building on the LTH campus in Lund.
**Job Responsibilities**
As a teaching assistant, your tasks may vary and will provide insight into the academic world at the faculty where you are studying.
The responsibilities for this position include serving as a laboratory supervisor and exercise leader for the course VBMA30.
**Qualifications**
To be eligible for employment as a teaching assistant, one must be enrolled in a degree program at the undergraduate or graduate level at the faculty. A degree must not have been conferred.
Requirements for the position include:
- Ongoing full-time studies in a relevant engineering program or equivalent education as deemed relevant by the employer
- Excellent proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written
- Good proficiency in English, both spoken and written
- Passed one of the courses VBMA30, VBMA25, or equivalent courses in a program deemed relevant by the employer
Meritorious for the position are:
- Knowledge in building materials, building physics, or structural engineering, demonstrated by high course grades
- Study focus on building construction technology, structural engineering, or civil engineering, or through the selection of relevant elective or compulsory courses within the field of building materials
- Previous teaching experience at the university level
- Ability to express oneself clearly
- Strong collaborative skills
- Independence and initiative

**Other Information**
The position covers 2-3 roles that are temporary, from January 19, 2026, to March 8, 2026, with a total workload of 54% of a full-time position distributed among the roles.
The employment must not negatively impact the teaching assistant's studies and should not be combined with other employment. Regulations regarding educational employment as a teaching assistant can be found in the Higher Education Ordinance (SFS 2017:284), Chapter 5, Sections 8-12.
You will work according to a schedule established in agreement with you. The position is subject to the Working Time Agreement for teachers.
