The Clinical Training Center (KTC) is an interdisciplinary unit where students undergo simulation-based training. Many of the educational programs hold part of their teaching at KTC, and all students complete CPR training. Instruction is provided by teachers from various programs in collaboration with nurses and instructors employed at KTC. KTC also features self-training rooms that all students at the Sahlgrenska Academy can book for personal practice. KTC is organizationally placed within the Department of Health Sciences. Within the Department of Health Sciences, there are educational programs, independent courses, and commissioned training at both undergraduate and advanced levels in the main areas of nursing, radiography, reproductive and perinatal health, healthcare pedagogy, as well as doctoral education in health sciences. The department also hosts several research groups, with a research profile focused on person-centered care. There is a center at the department, the Center for Person-Centered Care (GPCC). For more information about the Department of Health Sciences: http://caresci.gu.se/ We are looking for someone who wants to work with learning support in skills training alongside their studies. Job Responsibilities As a student assistant, you will have the opportunity to combine your studies with work, allowing you to complement your theoretical knowledge with practical work experience within the academy. As a student assistant at KTC, you play a vital role in providing students with opportunities for self-training. Your responsibilities include offering training opportunities after office hours on a weekly basis and ensuring that equipment and facilities are available for student training. You will also be involved in preparations for teaching and examinations. Learning support during educational activities is part of the role, where you will work alongside teachers or instructors. The student assistant collaborates with students, staff, and teachers in practical activities. Therefore, working as a student assistant provides an opportunity to develop pedagogical skills in various learning situations. Qualifications The minimum requirement is that you are admitted to a program at the Sahlgrenska Academy, with approved courses up to semester 3 at the undergraduate level. It is advantageous if you are completing studies in the later part of your undergraduate program during the spring semester of 2026. To work as a student assistant, you should have good academic results and the ability to convey your knowledge to other students. We place great importance on your personal qualities, such as teamwork skills and flexibility in interactions with teacher and student groups. An interest in pedagogy and strong relationship-building skills are essential, as we work from a person-centered approach within the department. Employment For the spring semester of 2026, two positions as student assistants at KTC, Sahlgrenska Academy, are being advertised. The employment is temporary from January 19, 2026, to June 5, 2026, with a workload of 10%. The employment is governed by the Higher Education Ordinance Chapter 5.
