The Faculty of Medicine is one of the largest faculties at Umeå University and attracts many students with a comprehensive range of programs in medicine, dentistry, health, and care. Department of Medical and Translational Biology is responsible for teaching in the Biomedicine program. We are now seeking approximately 4 teaching assistants for participation in histology instruction for our students.
**Job Responsibilities**
The primary responsibilities include teaching and supervising histology demonstrations, as well as practical exercises.
**Eligibility**
Employment as a teaching assistant is governed by the Higher Education Ordinance Chapter 5. A student who is admitted to a degree program at the undergraduate or graduate level at a university or college is eligible for employment as a teaching assistant (HF Chapter 5 §10).
**Qualifications**
Applicants must either have passed all courses in the Biomedicine program up to and including semester 4 or have passed all courses in the Medical program up to and including the course "Structure and Function of Organ Systems." Proof of results for all completed courses must be attached to the application.
**Conditions**
We are seeking approximately 4 teaching assistants for the spring semester of 2026. The position corresponds to a 10% employment for 2 months, to be agreed upon with the responsible instructor. The employment must be completed in parallel with studies. Salary will be according to the teaching assistant agreement.
